How did I get infected with?

The Dapp\Cmdsvr.exe threat is deceitful. It turns to slyness and subtlety to slither in, undetected. And, it does, in fact, manage to invade unnoticed. And, it’s because of you. Well, rather, your carelessness. Confused? Let’s elaborate. No Trojan can access a system, without user’s permission. The tool has to ask if you approve its installment. Only if you do, can it continue with the process. No permission, no admission. It seems simple enough, doesn’t it? Well, infections have found ways around that rule. Not quite breaking it, but bending it. Trojans included. They do ask for your consent. But they do it in the most covert manner possible. The old but gold methods of invasion assist its trickery. That includes the use of fake updates, corrupted links, freeware, and spam emails. Do you spot the common denominator, between these methods? Neither can prove successful without your carelessness. It’s the key component for the Trojan’s covert invasion. It preys on it. The tool needs you to give into naivety and distraction. To rush, and rely on luck. To throw caution to the wind, and leave your fate to chance. Don’t! Don’t oblige. Don’t make the infection’s infiltration easier. Choose caution over carelessness. Always take the time to be thorough. Do your due diligence. Know what you agree to allow into your system. Even a little extra attention goes a long way. Keep that in mind next time you open your PC to tools, updates, or anything else off the web. Caution is crucial if you wish to keep an infection-free PC.
