Remove VOPackage Ads from Chrome/Firefox/IE

Can’t Remove VOPackage ads? This page includes detailed ads by VOPackage Removal instructions!

You might be thinking that VOPackage is indeed the useful application it was supposed to be. Unfortunately, it isn’t. Even though this program appears to be quite safe at first sight, that’s all a part of VOPackage’s dishonest scheme. Advertised as a practical online tool which should help you update various programs, in reality, this is adware and a PUP (potentially unwanted program). And it certainly doesn’t belong on your machine because… well, it’s a cyber virus. Why would you need it? The minute VOPackage successfully lands on your machine, it immediately starts wreaking havoc and having in mind how resourceful and aggressive this parasite it, you’re in for trouble. Not only does it flood your PC screen with a never-ending pile of useless pop-ups but it also serves as a back door to malware while significantly slowing  down your entire machine and effectively ruining your browsing experience. Trust us on this one – VOPackage CANNOT be beneficial. Adware-type programs in general were never meant to enhance your Internet experience regardless of the beautiful promises they make. Adware was supposed to generate web traffic towards some highly questionable and potentially very dangerous websites thus gaining revenue for the hackers. It goes without saying that some of the advertisements on your PC screen will be corrupted; the problem is, you never know which ad is safe and which one isn’t till you click. However, do you see how much of a gamble that is? You could either end up on some malicious website full of infections or you might get involved in a nasty cyber scam and, ultimately, lose your money. As if that wasn’t enough, VOPackage steals personal information like nobody’s business so apart from all the other damage it could cause you, this parasite also poses the direct danger of identity theft. Because why not. You have to remember that keeping such a pest on your PC system is an incredibly bad move and if you keep tolerating VOPackage’s sneaky manipulations for too long, you will regret it. Due to this infection’s presence on your operating system, the machine itself will underperfom and your overwhelmed browsers might start occasionally crashing or freezing. Therefore, VOPackage truly leaves you with no option other than to uninstall it as soon as possible. There is absolutely nothing to win by keeping a nasty parasite on board; on the other hand, there is quite a lot to lose.

How did I get infected with?

As you probably know already, adware-type parasites are spread in a huge variety of methods so it’s not a challenge to get your device infected. It’s not a challenge to protect your cyber security either and yet many PC users fall victims to the devious stealthy technique of bundled freeware. Most people tend to skip installation steps and overlook the damage that they might be exposing themselves to. Keep in mind that questionable software bundles downloaded from questionable websites usually include at least one highly unwanted bonus program which, if you’re careless enough, you will install alongside the programs you wanted. The problem is that adware and PUPs aren’t the only types of malware that travel the Web bundled so you could easily install a nasty Trojan horse or some vicious ransomware virus as well. We assume that is not what you’re aiming for online so never underestimate ANY threat you might come across while surfing the Web! Pay attention to the software you’re installing and stay away from third-party web links, spam messages and spam email-attachments. Remember, it is much easier to protect your safety as such an early stage than to remove some pesky infection later on.

Why are these ads dangerous?

VOPackage doesn’t deviate from the classic adware pattern so at least its trickery can’t be considered unexpected. Having said that, this parasite is very efficient. Once it slithers into the target computer, VOPackage automatically installs a malicious browser add-on to Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer which means the infection successfully takes down all of your browsers and its shenanigans cannot be avoided. Thanks to this devious (and unwanted) add-on, your browsers are now injected with advertisements. The enormous pile of VOPackage ads includes all kinds of pop-ups, pop-unders, interstitials, banners, etc. and what they all have in common, apart from the fact they are annoying, is that they all could be very harmful. As we mentioned, the web links generated by this virus are sponsored which makes them incredibly unreliable and possibly malicious. Hackers don’t really have a reason to take care of your safety, do they? But you do. They will display all web links at the right price so nothing you see on your screen is trustworthy after VOPackage got installed. In additional to the immense quantity of misleading commercials, this parasite also spies on your browsing activities and sends about as much personal data as possible straight to crooks. The information collected usually includes IP addresses, email addresses but if hackers get access to your personally identifiable data, they will not hesitate to use it too. As you can see, you end up being in an extremely vulnerable position. Do you want to regain control over your machine, browsers and overall Internet experience? If so, get rid of the adware.
