How did I get infected with?

Whizmarket Search only seems to appear out of thin air. But, the reality of the matter is, you opened the door to it. Yes, you invited the threat inside. Then, held the door open to it, and watched it parade in. Looking at it, but not really seeing it. It may sound confusing, but it’s rather simple. Hijacker’s cannot enter a system without the user’s permission. Whizmarket Search is a hijacker. It sought your approval prior to installment. And, you must have given it. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be in your current situation. Do you remember the exchange, taking place? Odds are, you have no memory of it. And, that’s not surprising. If the tool popped up to seek your compliance, you’d deny it. And, the infection cannot risk it. So, instead, it resorts to trickery. It still follows the rules to seek your approval. But, it does it in the sneakiest way possible. It hides behind spam email attachments, or corrupted links. It poses as a fake system or program update. Freeware is an old but gold invasive method. Whichever way, it chooses to use, it needs one key ingredient. Your carelessness. The tool needs you to rush, and give into naivety. To throw caution to the wind. To not bother reading the terms and conditions, but leave it all to chance. Why ease an infection’s invasion? Choose caution over carelessness. It’s the superior alternative.

Why is this dangerous?

The privacy threat, Whizmarket Search places on you far outshines all other issues. But, though, they’re not as severe, don’t discard them. There’s an entire plethora of problems, you get forced to endure, courtesy of the threat. They begin with your browsing. One day, you come to find reshuffles. Ones, which you did not approve or were even aware of it. And, yet, there they are. You see your default search engine and homepage replaced. In their stead, is a new suspicious-looking site. Every time you so much as touch your browser, you get redirected to that website. It shows up when you search the web, open a new tab, do anything at all. It’s always there. That page turns into your online shadow. But redirects aren’t the only annoyance, forced on you. You also get to suffer an utter bombardment of ads. Pop-up, in-text, banner, every kind there is. Pretty soon, these constant intrusions leave repercussions. Your system starts to crash all the time. Your computer slows down to a crawl. Browsing turns into an infuriating experience. Couple that with the security threat, and the decision gets made for you. “Should you keep Whizmarket Search on your computer?” No! Delete it the first chance you get. The sooner it’s gone, the better.
