How did I get infected with?

Hijackers can’t access a PC, without user’s permission to do so. Every such tool must inquire you, the user, if you agree to install it. If you don’t, no entry. The infection does its best to avoid rejection. It makes sure to ask you the right way. And, if you’re not careful enough, you don’t even realize that’s what it’s doing. Yes, the infection is sly. It doesn’t outright pop up to seek your consent on its entry. If it did, chances are, you’ll deny it. And, it can’t have that. So instead of being outright, it’s covert. The tool does seek your permission on its admission. Only, it does it in the sneakiest way possible. It uses freeware, fake updates, spam emails. It turns to the old bur gold means of invasion, and preys on your carelessness. That’s right. It cannot succeed with its sneaky invasion without your carelessness. It needs you to rush, and give into naivety and distraction. That makes its covert invasion much easier. Don’t ease Offerplaying’s infiltration! Don’t throw caution to the wind, and rely on luck. Don’t rush, but take your time. Be thorough. Be vigilant. Do your due diligence. Even a little extra attention goes a long way. Remember that, next time, you open your PC to anything off the web.
